The Dupont West Condominium comprises 88 residential units in a 10-story brick building with seven commercial units on the ground floor.
Built in 1980, the Dupont West is distinguished from many other high-rise residential buildings in the neighborhood because it is not an apartment building converted to a condominium, but was purpose-built as a condominium. As a result, it residential units are more spacious than the norm. It includes no studio apartments, only 1-bedroom, 1-bedroom-den, and 2-bedroom units. The 2-bedroom units all include two full baths. In addition, the units are distinguished by multiple large closets, spacious balconies and in-unit washer-dryers. End units on the upper three floors feature wood-burning fireplaces.
The Dupont West allows pets up to a 24-pount limit.
The building superintendent works 9-5 pm Monday-Friday and provides package receipt and in-unit delivery during business hours. He has been with the condominium almost since its inception, and his knowledge of every piece of equipment, fixture, pipe and wire provides invaluable assistance with maintaining the smooth functioning of all building function.
The Dupont West condo fee includes water use; electrical use is separately metered.
The building includes a one-floor below-grade parking garage of 24 indoor spaces. There are also five outdoor spaces in the rear of the building. The parking spaces are all separately deeded and do not convey with any specific unit. Only a few are usually available for rental.
The building does not include a roof deck or a pool.
